Info

Syrian children play a game of tag to pass time as they wait days to receive their travel documents to leave the island at the Captain Hotel Elias in Kos, Greece on July 5, 2015. Once migrants and refugees arrive in Kos, they are forced to wait until given their travel documents by authorities to head to Athens where their journey north into Europe awaits. Migrants and refugees wait several days, sometimes up to two weeks, to be given their documents to leave the island. The wait to be processed in other Greek islands is shorter, at times 2-3 days.
